2009 News and Prayer Requests
- Pastor Paulo sent word that the last training went very well with 230 teachers of children hearing the lectures & challenges of missionary work. Pray that his work is fruitful, his needs are met, and he is free to work amidst the hardships he faces.
- Fernando is on crutches! It seems he hurt his foot while on a family outing last month. He had an MRI recently & saw the doctor to determine if he needs surgery or not. Presently, he cannot walk or drive. We await further word of his condition. Please pray for speedy and complete recovery!
- Please pray for donations to finish the physical work of the building and grounds. There are 29 children being served in the school at this time, and many more in the community of Cidade Leste. (There were 45 attending the church last year. This effort continues to grow. They call the church "Celebration".)
- GFTC trip dates again for 2009: August 25 – September 2. Pray everything He has planned will be accomplished – that all will be sensitive to His leading. Great things happen when all of us are in tune with His promptings!
ITEMS / NEEDS FOR THE AUGUST '09 TRIP
Pastor Paulo requests:
1. A projector for his computer
2. Colored beads to use in making bracelets representing the plan of salvation
3. Judo kimonos - (He works with children & teens--ages 4 thru 14--at a school for gymnastics & judo.)
4. Balloons for sculpting animals, toys, etc.
Fernando requests:
1. Estimates about $6,500.00 is needed to finish the third building at the school. Some funds later on for flooring will be needed, but that can wait in light of the major work being completed.
2. Shoes and / or flip-flops
3. Toothbrushes and dental supplies

--TENTATIVE TRIP DATES FOR 2010--
JULY 3-12
Please pray that God will construct the ministry team that HE desires to fulfill the purposes that HE intends!
Plans are in the works for a 2010 trip tentatively set for July 3-12. This trip will focus on ministry to children in the Cidade Leste area, providing a creative arts and Bible school-type day camp for the children and young teens.
Celebracao Mission is growing and reaching into the community as the body of Christ, with her pastor, Fernando Ramos
Many children are coming to Christ, and many families are being effected as a result
Mario, a believer, serves diligently with his family on the school / church property to upkeep and protect the area.
Mario’s wife is the cook for the school
Many young people from Cidade Leste “hang out” at the school/church daily – Both Fernando & Mario have many opportunities to share Christ by word & example
As you can see, the church is becoming a positive influence on the whole community

o Increase support – about $500.00/montho Newer used car –--some contributions have provided for this need as he as been able to get a car, but had to take out a loan to to fully pay for it. Please consider helping with this need so that he can be free from debt.Celebracao Church/School:
o Need approximately $2,500.00 to finish constructiono Support for Fernando as Pastor – Goal: $1,000.00/montho Increase support to add second preschool class Please also pray for protection for ALL as they continue to serve the Lord faithfully. Anywhere the Lord is visibly working, there will be opposition from the enemy.
