TRIP PLANS UPDATE:
2010 TRIP POSTPONED
Please pray that God will construct the ministry team that HE desires to fulfill the purposes that HE intends in 2011!
The 2010 trip to Teresina and Joao Pessoa has been postponed. People and plans coming together for this year's trip pointed towards a better option in 2011. As always, this trip will focus on ministry in the Cidade Leste / Joao Pessoa areas, providing a more extensive Bible school day camp and creative arts ministry for the children, teens, and adults. Our secretary-treasurer, Kathy Banks is working closely with Precept ministries to introduce their new children's curriculum as the Bible study part of this mission. Please continue to pray God's direction, blessing, and unity as plans are discussed and team members are recruited.
Celebracao Mission is continuing to grow and reach into the community as the body of Christ, with her pastor, Fernando Ramos. Please pray for Fernando's health particularly in these days. He is undergoing testing for glaucoma.
Many young people from Cidade Leste “hang out” at the school/church daily – Both Fernando & Mario, the groundskeeper, have many opportunities to share Christ by word & example
As you can see (check out the photos and gallery!), the church is becoming a positive influence on the whole community!
Prayer Requests
Pr Paulo:
o Increase support – about $500.00/montho Newer used car –--some contributions have provided for this need as he as been able to get a car, but had to take out a loan to to fully pay for it. Please consider helping with this need so that he can be free from debt. Celebracao Church/School:
o Support for Fernando as Pastor Goal: $1,000.00/month. Is God calling you to contribute to his support? You may desig- nate for this purpose thru GFTC.o Increase support to add second preschool class. Cost would be around $800 per month.Please also pray for protection, wisdom, and unity for ALL called to work as part of Talita or GFTC. Your prayers are the best gift.
